Hey again its me lol.
Now from the previous update which was a couple of hours ago, i've managed to have help with one of the projects that has to be in tomorrow. Thank you miss Sophie Bowyer.

Check it out, brilliant graphic artist.
Anyways down to business here is a step by step of the visual studies assignment for tomorrow.
Well as mentioned before I had a problem with the background so i used an image instead of a drawing, here below is the photograph I used.
This Photo above is from google, and its Dubai's racing track where they host the formula 1 every year as one of the last races of the season.
After taking the photo into photoshop, I felt the needed to edit it to make it my own. adding filter (Artist brush layer) and putting a layer mask on it, adding gradient to the mask. This made the bottom left stylised. I also added Gaussian Blur because its in the background.
Using the pen tool I cut out Lewis Hamilton from another Psd file. He was then added to the piece and I put a mask and a gradient on that as well. He's in the mid ground so I added a little bit of blur to the image. I didn't really have to play around with the lighting because I wanted it to be higher contrast to the back ground to stand out. I faded his legs in the background because I wanted to place a formula 1 car in front of him.
Next step was to fill a gap on the right with a forground character and I thought the best person for the job was lewis's team mate jenson button, I like whatIi did with lewis and the fade into the background so I did it again. Here is that next step.
After I was happy with the position of jenson I concentrated on getting a rendered formula one car. Now because the final image will have most of its coloured drained it wasn't that important to texture the car. So I rendered the car in Maya and dropped in front of lewis. I wanted to keep the car smaller than the figure to connote who is more important in racing. Now these days there just as important as each other so I kept the car a little bit smaller than the two men.
So the car was my Computer Element now I had to add a drawn part to the image and this is what I came up with. The image is susposed to belong in the 1890's so car racing had just started out so I thought i'd draw the words 'road racing the future' now it can be betrayed as a 1890 poster.
Here it is
My friend Sophie Bowyer helped me with this bit. a lot of the time I was flicking between B/W and Colour just to see the difference. This helped because instead of changing the colours to stand out of the page I had to think about the contrasts.
so here is
So here is the black and white this was done with a simple channel mixer. Even though most images from the 1890's are black and white a few of them have a bit of yellow too them. (sepia) this effect gives a real old look. Sophie had downloaded developed actions and it helped a lot on this project we used the 'cappacino' action and it gave rather than just a yellowish look, it gave a small brown feel to it as well. (like its dirty).
so here is the final piece.
Three different layers each on Overlay allowed me to create this effect. It gives a nice sense of depth to the image and to be honest makes all that hard work pay off.
Well that basically thats how I did the visual studies project. wish me good luck for tomorrow
Update on Icreate work tomorrow.
Thanks
