On the other hand i've been working for my lecturer with his project if you check out the summer projects blog that is all there for that. Currently the project is on hold because of University term time has started again.
So now i'm back working on my Showreel and chugging along doing my masters. The big reason behind me coming back to do the Masters was because I managed to get a Scholarship for the course. So all course fees paid and i get paid a certian amount a month to do it.
Jumping into the masters was very difficult i knew there was going to be a lot of work but i didn't gather there be this much. several assignments have been given to us and so did my usual thing and start some personal projects. I've been modelling a formula 1 car. Recently I went up to CodeMasters the company that has developed the Formula 1 games and are now producing other great games. Here is the Formula car modelled not textured. as the work has gotten abit too much im holding of the texturing and focusing all my effort on my projects.
I had alot of fun doing this formula 1 car and i made sure this didn't effect my work for the masters. Another thing i've been doing and part of my course, is a 140 hour work placement with a company called Icreate. they are a 3D architectual visualisation (not sure that's how you spell it) but this is a trial house I have to model, texture and light it. they will tell me where i'm going wrong and hopfully I can create some models for them that they can use.
For one of my assignments I have to create a plug and animate in such a way that someone can wire it. you would be surprised how hard it is to model a 13 amp Plug. This assignment has to be in for the 8th of december. I also have a animation assignment and then a dissertation proposal to complete for late November. I will show that in the next blog update as i still have a lot of work to do on that. here some images of the plug.
The plug has basic texture and i will be putting Mia_texture nods on plug so when rendered with mental ray it will come out alot more crisp and clean.
Thanks for reading
Rich
