25th of November

Hey, well I'm back home for the weekend and I thought i'd do a quick update for you. As I only have one project to do I thought i'd do some tutorials on lighting, (linear workflow) and play with gamma inputs.

The geometry is from a previous project. Its the pet shop from my major project last year.

This is what I came up with.

Sunshine. The gain is a little bit high, but takes a while to render so I'm not going to do it again.

Here below is a shot of twilight. i'm still getting to know how to do this, so if there are problems then i would like feedback.

both these images using physical sun and sky with a lens shader.

Thanks
Rich

  1. hey dude you can make that sunlight really stand out by chucking in some god rays and a little haze? are you aloud to do that for the work?

  2. brilliant Idea! do you know any good tutorials for it? yeah of course this lighting is just me messing around with gamma and changing the settings in the render
